Hello,I'm still here...

It's when I'm doing so many things that I tend to forsake my blog.
It's ironic since that's when my life is more interesting and I have more things to share and say.

Lately, I haven't been posting a lot of dramabels. My entries the past few weeks were just random photos and lah-dee-dahs of everyday stuff. Not the usual sap I used to dish out when I was just starting.
I've realized my humble blog's view counter is increasing and somehow it scares me. Everyone says, blogging is personal and if you don't like what the person's writing about, then leave the page.

But.
I also believe that when you write something and post it on the world wide web, you open up yourself to people and their opinion...like it or not. Somehow, you are allowing yourself to be more vulnerable.

You are allowing people to see a little bit of yourself or else just write in your journal and forget about blogging.

I'm rambling, just a random thought.

Anyway, I've been really busy. September to October are my two most-awaited months this year. Aside from the Pooh visiting, I'm really feeling these are our months, Pao and I. September seemed so far away months ago but then here we are. My excitement is turning into nervousness.
A decade is long. but I truly believe he more than sowed what was asked and its reaping time.
I only pray for a fruitful harvest.
Fingers-crossed and I will refrain from counting the chickens before they hatch...
Hay naku, metaphors.

I need to organize my mess a bit to a more tolerable jumble then I can go back to running smoothly again.

Thank You!

So beautiful! They looked almost unreal.

Sometimes, the littlest things are the sweetest. :)

I'm so excited!

Three more nights and I get to see my little niece, Cheskapooh!
She was just this small, the last time I saw her.

It's been too long. At least a part of my family is coming to visit.

I can't wait, Pooh! She's still loving her binky and tutu. :)

Act like a lady, Think like a man.

The past few days had been really good. I just got busy working. We got sidetracked with a lot of things and this time is about hustling again.
Sometimes, I do get annoyed when people think I'm just this pa-cute housewife, doing all things lovely and leisurely. I can say I'm really very lucky that I had the option not to have an 8-5er but I do have a lot of things on my plate. The good thing about it I guess is having my own time. But whatever, I love my life. I don't have a boss, that alone makes me happy.

Right now, I'm busy fixing up the house in P8. My sister and her family's visiting in a few days and I'm beyond excited.

Hustle, hustle.

Long Weekend

Our weekend was all about family and just staying in. We wanted to try A.Venue in Makati, also to scout the area for future possible bazaars. My next bazaar invitation is at A. Venue hall on October 11, although I'm still not sure if I'll be able to join. My sister's coming to visit and I want their two-week stay to be really enjoyable (That means limiting my MTO's for the next few weeks).

I was wearing my "Ghost" extra-long necklace which is basically made of chunky, clear quartz in rhodium-plated thin chain (also available in gold-plated for special orders). It's really a nice piece, although a bit pricier, clear quartz are one of my fave crystals. The room was cold but when I took off my necklace, it was very, very warm, almost hot to touch but not uncomfortable. Real quartz are like that. They conduct heat and energy. The necklace can be worn up to three layers. =) Order yours at Charmed Life. Most of my limited pieces are not posted on the site.

************
The past few weeks were routine for me. I've been spending my days whiling time away, doing things I gotta do, mindlessly. I've been busy and more tired these days.
Probably more so because I'm getting a bit sick with the routine.

When I was single,I can leave anytime and fly to Chicago now I have to sync with Pao's schedule which is one crazy schedule. :/ *Sigh. I miss my family.

I kept thinking of wanting to make the days go faster. I've been waiting for a lot of things to happen. Things that my husband and I have invested on to come to fruition.
I can't wait for my sister and Cheska Pooh's visit. I can't wait for October and Pao's big break. I can't wait.
But as I'm lately realizing, things go by much slower when you are waiting.

Gayuma at iba pa.

Last Tuesday, I wanted to try an aphrosidiac concept resto, Gayuma ni Maria, an Atenean turf in Maginhawa St. I was curious more than anything else about the kitschy-named dishes.

Pao tried "My Country-Side Fling" which is basically just pork ribs. Nothing Special, I had better.

He also ordered "Exotic Lover" which is Spaghetti with Tulis fish, capers and herbs--it was our favorite among all three orders.

As for me, I ordered something new. "Once You Go Black, You Never Go Back" sounds interesting. It's cocoa-crusted cream Dory fish with Chocolate sauce and mustard. It was an adventure for my taste buds, it wasn't bad...I just don't think I'll be ordering it again.

It was an interesting...but forgettable dinner. :/

********

Last night I was suppoused to meet up with my College best buddies, the Spanish SeƱorita, Monika and our Alan Bibo for a jogging date at UPD.
But my day ended late since I was rushing to finish something for a client, I was only able to join them for a late dinner. It was a busy, busy day. Good thing I have great help.

*Sigh. Nevertheless, it was a fun evening. Sometimes you only realize how old you are when you see your old friends grow up and become different from how you're used to with them.

Raleene's Charmed Life

I love the new breed of young bloggers. They are driven, ambitious and multi-talented.
Years before blogging, self-promotion sounds tacky and being a little different is h.s. social suicide.
Now, being unique and making your mark is the game. I love how this new breed is so unapologetically driven and is excelling in so many fields.
This breed is breaking stereotypes and raising the bar.

I'm so happy we are churning out young people like Raleene these days. She embodies what Charmed Life is all about: fun, beautiful but with deeper meaning and purpose.

I'm proud of the new brand ambassador for Charmed Life.

For somebody who doesn't like lipsticks...

I'm loving the Revlon ColorBurst Line.

It has a creamy consistency but still very lightweight. I love how it feels on the lips. It's really hydrating and two coats are enough to give you full coverage. If you are like me, who doesn't like too much color on the lips, one swipe will give you a great, glossy finish without the gunk. It has that lustrous sheen that doesn't translate to 80's frost most creamy lipsticks have.

The shade Baby Pink is a great alternative to MAC's Lady Gaga. Although you will be needing two swipes to achieve the full on pink effect. Personally I think Revlon's Baby Pink is more apt for everyday wear because its translucent and works well with most tones.
I have yellow tones and warmer shades look better on me that's why I always go for peach and coral shades.
My fave shade so far is Peach, naturally. It's very light but works well with yellow tones. I like how the shades' names are so simple. No more guessing what a Peroxide (Urban Decay's)or #5150 looks like.

Shomal by Hossein

I've been craving for Middle-Eastern food...for days already.

I think we have a new fave place for our spicy Lamb Curry and plain yogurt shake fix.

We missed everything about Calumpit.

Drove up north on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

My lola's back from Chicago!

Welcome back, Nanay. We missed you. ♥♥♥

...

I've been lethargic for the last two days so Pao dragged me this morning to my fave breakfast place in UP Technopark.

I had a great start for the day and that made me perky. I was up and running the whole day. I realized only at around late afternoon how behind I was with stuff.

Two days worth of lah-dee-da-ing cost a lot. Remind me that please the next time I slack. *Sigh.
Nothing motivates more than the repercussions of indolence.

Cute

I've been meaning to buy a new pang-harabas bag because my old one is already harassed to its core.
My "errands" bag is actually what I technically use everyday. So even if I use my snob bags for the everyday loot like phone, kikay and wallet, I have my errand bag for the substantial (laptop and my business "tools"). I love beautiful bags but since I'm no longer in the Corporate world and my lifestyle requires running around, I need one that I don't have to worry about wearing out.

I'm loving this Rootote Mimicry in Bronze Enamel. It's chic yet sturdy enough to bring the whole house and at only PhP 2,750 it's a steal. It's actually my third Rootote bag and aside from Rootote bags being cute and sturdy, they are eco-friendly.

They are only limited in quantities so even if they are very affordable, it's like getting limited edition bags. The best designs sell out real fast, you have to order yours overseas if you're late!
You can order yours at Rootote Philippines or contact 09176256406.

Tomorrow,I promise to stop procrastinating...

Today, I'm so lacking energy, I had to drink some kind of energy concoction to peel myself off from the bed. Coffee just doesn't cut it anymore.

I have a lot of things to do but I just can't seem to start on them. I don't know why I am this way today. *Sigh.

I have to meet somebody tonight at 7pm. I think my day will start very, very late.

Merry Christmas!

It's September! The month I've been waiting for. I'm so excited for my little Pooh's arrival. Yay!

August was interesting. I'm more than ready to get on with the Ber months.

No way but up.
