HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
Looking back, I can only sum up one word that truly describes what I feel for the year that will pass on: Grateful. I am thankful for the memories, Appreciative of the lessons learned and for the gift of life that makes me experience all these changes, both good and bad. I am grateful for being loved so much that makes me capable to love back immensely in return. I realize, as a family grows and changes, love grows with it. I used to worry when I was little, about being apart from my family, a close member passing on or new additions that will change the whole dynamic of our relationships. It’s only now that I learn by experience that love never runs out as the family gets bigger…and it never ends when a member passes away.
It was a year of changes. I got married, my whole family moved away for good, My Grandpa whom I was very close with, passed away and our little Elijah, my nephew together with the whole family fought (and won!)our biggest battle yet.
Again, I am excited for 2010! So much to do, so much to do. =D

hallmark post: December 23
I come from a close tribe of siblings. And since this is my blog and my story, I like to think of my siblings as the supporting characters when we were growing up.
There is always of course, the “sidekick” and that is my ate Hazel. (This is my story, tel. I’ll be your sidekick in your story.) She was my constant companion and my ally. Since we basically come from the same age group, growing up we always experienced things together, knew each other’s deepest secrets, dressed up similarly, and pretended we were twins.
There is of course, my tormentor; the harmless although exasperating nemesis who loved to make my life more colorful and intense. My sister Tiffany was actually good at being wicked growing up. She was like the big brother I never had, never failing to remind me of my embarrassing moments and cheerfully helping to make new ones for me. She made sure that this role was locked for her by toppling down my other enemies (like a bad bf) and fighting for me fiercely.
My little brother Josh is my precious. My main man. He is the one I am most protective of. The one I guard with my life.
Then there is Ate Vi.
My eldest sister has always had big shoes to fill. They say the first born is special because they set the bar for their siblings. They always experience and have everything first. I used to ask myself many times what if I were the eldest or maybe my Ate Tiffany or my Ate Hazel, would everything be the same? It is only at this age, I realize the answer to that.
The eldest although special, is also the “sacrificial” role. I realize this with my Ate Vi, who always had to choose the heavier load and the high road.
When you come from a close tribe of siblings, there is always that one you a find little bit extraordinary. Not because you love them a little bit more but because they are the embodiment of your goodness and a better version of yourself and since they are your siblings and your own flesh and blood…you know somehow this goodness is attainable for yourself as well.
Happy Birthday, Ate Vi!
You are my sister by birth and by fate but my soul mate by my own heart’s choosing.
Thank you for always believing in me.I love you so much.
My beautiful Indian Sari bracelets
My dear friend Angelica asked me to make her sari bracelets based on her authentic Indian bracelet she bought in Singapore. It was a bit of a challenge for me since it was something new and quite a deviation from my usual design aesthetics. I thought it looked easy to make but found out it was a bit trickier than I thought! Overall, I actually think they turned out better than expected.
Hope you'll love them, Maru. ;)

It does get a bit frustrating at times to fall in love with something not available in the PI. I have to resort to online shopping and resellers that hack up the prices way higher than its original price. But the most frustrating part of all is the waiting. I just hope to get my item already since I paid for it already in full.
*Sigh. Oh well, anticipation is always the best part. At least it gets my mind off from the other BIG thing I’m waiting for. ;)

Just so...
It’s both amusing and sometimes, trying when people learn hubby works as a senior product manager for Globe, they automatically assume I know everything by association. I am asked about line plans, availability of networks (?), text promos, cell phone plans even tracking down identities of certain contact numbers! (Pao is an SPM, not an Ayala!)
Once and for all, my husband handles the landline and broadband product (now, I may be getting complaints instead! Gulp. Hehe) and not mobile. And more importantly, as much as I would love to help, we don’t talk about work at home (and if we do, it’s definitely not about the merits of different network sites around the country!) so my area of expertise only ranges between getting vital signs to my beadworks! =P

*haaaaaaay!
I've been swamped with "work" for the last few days but I'm loving it. Its a lot better to hustle and be busy than not do anything at all. The problem with me is I tend to be more of an artist and a perfectionist than a businesswoman, repeating everything from the very first start when I realize I don't like the design at all.
My favorite right now are the suede and chain bracelets that sold out for the first 24 hours! I'm still repeating some designs for requests! Aside from that my all-in-one-charms and fengshui bracelets are really in demand right now because of the coming new year.
I'm excited with my upcoming mini-projects! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best... =D
