My sister showed me this last Thursday because she knew I would love the style since I had been looking for a beige Marc Jacobs Stam bag. I also looove Gold Hardware, when done correctly it makes everything look more luxurious. Needless to say, I spent a sleepless night. The next day, I was a woman on a mission.

I woke up feeling very positive today. I realized I am at my happiest when I'm at my busiest and when I have tasks and goals at hand. I always looked forward to my "down days" and bumming days and its during these times that I obsess on the most trivial stuff.

Just a few Raves.

Understandably, I have a lot of Pond's Gold Radiance Products strewn around the house. I gave out a few already but I have some left because I wanted to try this line. I have been using Clarins and Estee Lauder for my face. But this morning I saw my Pond's Gold Radiance Serum calling out to me, waiting to be used for the first time. I tried it on and I loved it! I still have to use it though for a few weeks to really know if it works for me but right now it feels fresh on my face and that's a real plus. Summer is approaching and the last thing I want to do is put heavy gunk on my face...but alas, I can't forego moisturizing the face, especially with the fact that I'm officially entering my late twenties this summer (gulp).

I was hesitant buying this one at first because of all the bad reviews online but I'm a Revlon girl. I love Revlon and though I buy high-end makeups, I find myself buying these stuff for the packaging and of course, for travel more than anything else. But for everyday errands and running around, Revlon is my go-to. I'm slowly realizing there's not much difference with designer make up and high-street or drugstore brands. If you need to invest on anything, it should be on quality applicators and brushes. But then I don't have sensitive skin so I guess designer or drugstore brands work the same for me.

I succumbed to eyelash extension craze a few months back and I learned the hard way because most of my real lashes fell off. I used this mascara for my lash rehab and I am so happy with the results. I love this product. It's not for everyone with its ginormous wand and somewhat flaky consistency but hey, it worked for me. I'm on my third tube since November.

MAC Wonder Woman was launched in the Philippines last March 20 and I was worried I won't be able to buy the much hyped MAC Marquise D'. Although I like the Nude shade what I love most in the MAC Wonder Woman Line is the Mineralize Skin Finish Pink Power (the one on the right). I was able to buy a few stuff from this line in Singapore. It was our last day and we waited for 20 minutes because the items just arrived. Just in time, it was 3 hours before our flight. ;)



I never liked Matte powders. This one, I really love. Aside from the cute packaging, its a BB powder. I really hope they release this as well in Watsons Philippines. I'm worried about running this one out real soon.

Pao's birthday

For Pao's birthday, we went to Singapore.




We stayed at Marina Mandarin at the Marina Bay which I absolutely loved.






Nice hotel rooms make me lazy, to my husband's exasperation. I'd rather enjoy the fluffy pillows than the sights.

A little food-tripping...




A little shopping...




...And a whole lotta love. Singapore was a pleasant surprise. =)) Had a great time.

Today is everything.

The past few days had been sad for both our families. One of my distant cousins passed away so unexpectedly. He was just uploading photos in facebook hours before and didn't wake up anymore in the morning.
I guess that thing about him using facebook hours before his death stayed with me because it was just something so mundane, something we do, thoughtlessly. He didn't know he only had hours left.
It made me realize more that life is so uncertain, you have to make the most out of it. Everyday, every moment is a gift.

Our Tita Lumeng as well, Pao's beloved aunt passed away yesterday. It was really a sad day, getting the news about her passing reminded me again of my Grandpa and how I felt learning about his death. When someone close to you dies, it feels somehow surreal. You can still picture out in your mind so vividly her face, her smile, her voice but knowing you will never see those again, never hear her speak again is just sad. We will miss her. She lived her life so generously and I am so happy having had the privilege of knowing her.

Life is a gift. Everyday is a celebration. Sometimes we get too caught up with everyday routine and frivolities and forget how fragile life is and in the grand scheme of things...how little time we have on earth.
I used to be scared of getting older. I dread the thought of looking old. Now I realize how foolish that is.
I promise to be that kind of woman who embraces all her years.
There is nothing to envy about the young but the promise of the future. Now, I only envy those who were able to live their life so thoroughly. Today is everything.
