My parents’ house this time of the year was a bit of a challenge to spruce up for the holidays. For one, we had a major renovation so the usual Christmas tree and other holiday decors are displaced. My mama who looooves decorating for Christmas is not around; so it was a bit of a challenge for me to live up to her usual Christmas trappings. I’ve always looked forward to our Christmas theme every year because my mama always comes up with something new each time.

This year, as I was unpacking our old holiday decors, I kept thinking how time goes by so fast. The old candles from the time I was in high school are still around. They were too pretty to be lightened.

Funny, I never noticed those little things before.
